Additive manufacturing · Complete SOLIDWORKS learning path
From manufacturability checks to a printed, finished part, with no bad surprises when it comes off the machine.
Free video training · Manufacturing
Five lessons that follow the life of a part: check that it can be manufactured, choose the process and material, prepare the file, print it, then finish it. The path starts with DFMXpress, the manufacturability tool built into SOLIDWORKS.

What you will be able to do
✓Check the manufacturability of a part with DFMXpress before releasing it to production
✓Choose between additive processes (FDM, SLA, SLS, SLM) and materials based on the need
✓Orient, set up and export a SOLIDWORKS model for a successful print
✓Take a print through to the finished part: machine, monitoring, removal and finishing
Where to start
You have never printed a part: follow the five lessons in order. You already have a printer in your design office: go to lesson 3 for model preparation and export, then to lesson 4 to make your prints more reliable.
