      Importing Files Other Than CATIA

      CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE supports a large range of file formats. Common file types include DXF, IFG, STEP, STL, and even SOLIDWORKS.

      Steps to Import Data into CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE

      1. Click on the “+” at the top right of the screen
      2. Choose the “Import” option
      3. Once in the import menu, you can select the file type as well as its source, which can be either local, from a collaboration space, or your 3DDrive

      Importing CATIA Files

      CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE supports CATIA V5 files (CATPart, CATProduct, CATDrawing, etc.). However, you need the "Exchange Management" add-on installed on your machine. This add-on enables seamless data exchange between different CATIA versions, ensuring compatibility and preserving file integrity during the import process. You can locate this add-on directly using the compass on your platform, as demonstrated below:
